Author Carole Woods OAM MA will talk about her new book including Vera Deakin’s search for missing soldiers during World Wars 1 & 2.
Vera Deakin, daughter of Australia’s second Prime Minister, had a lifelong association with Point Lonsdale. She was the founding secretary of the Australian Red Cross Wounded and Missing Enquiry Bureau first in Cairo in 1915 and later in London.
