Former Queensland avocado orchard owners Rob and Tasmin Charter purchased the historic 1887 Queen Anne style Queenscliff Hotel in Gellibrand Street in December 2022. Restoration began in March 2023 to prevent further deterioration and create a high-quality accommodation and dining venue, proposed to open late 2025.
