Hub Update – October

Part 5 Floor down and Laminated Beams are UP.

In this 5th video made by the Queenscliffe Historical Museum, we discover what has been happening on the HUB building site through into October.

Most of the floor is down, the laminated beams are up and wrapped in plastic to protect them from the weather.
Now, work has started on the internal walls and it is now possible to get a true sense of the layout of the Visitor Information Centre, the Auditorium and the Museum’s Exhibition Space and Research Centre.

The library building has undergone major structural renovation. The plasterers have now started work and the air conditioning system in being installed.

In the coming weeks the steel work connecting the new building to the Library will be completed, and after that the roof will go on.
