In April 2007, three SAS soldiers were drowned whilst returning to the Swan Island military base when their car drove off the Swan Island Bridge in the early hours of the morning and plunged into Swan Bay.
A Department of Defence Inquiry said the vehicle was unable to negotiate a right-hand curve and ran off the road.
The three men were attending a course at the Swan Island Army Detachment at the time of the accident.
