DESCRIPTION:JAZZ IN THE MUSEUM MUSICAL SOIRE FRIDAY 8 SEPTEMBER 2023 FROM 5.00 PM TO 7.00 PM Join us for a Museum tour, 1930s’ jazz musical performances featuring our local community band, Shedding the Blues, and all against a backdrop of images from Queenscliff in the 1930’s, while enjoying a glass of bubbles or soft drink. Jazz music was incredibly popular in the 1930’s, and it was played in dance halls and clubs across the world, including Australia. Queenscliff likely had its fair share of jazz bands and dance venues where people could swing to the tunes of artists like Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman. Where: Queenscliffe Historical Museum Date: Friday 8 September 2023 Time: From 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm Cost: $15.00 (Members QHM & National Trust). $20 Non-Members.
